There has been the re-emergence of "magical thinking" (i.e., "if-you-really-believe, your-wish-will-come-true") in some recent self-help books (e.g., "The Secret"). Scientifically, there is no basis for the excessive claims made by these books. |

Mentally Ill Prevented From Entering United States
Non-citizens of the United States should never tell US immigratiion or customs officials that they have a past history of serious mental illness, or had past suicide attempts.
American Immigration Law strictly forbids entry of people with such mental health histories from entering USA. Of course, this is idiotic, but this is written into law in USA. |
