Hello,

I was wondering if there is there anyone who has been off of effexor for more than a month and can tell me how long the horrible withdrawal symptoms last and also offer any information for getting through it any easier? I was told that Benedryl helps but I was looking for any suggestions other than another drug.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help or shed some light.

Regards,
Miserable in Orlando

Hi Nancy - just found your post - I've been posting to New Member and Is there a severe withdrawal syndrome or something that and Effexor Petition (go to www.petitiononline.com/effexor/ to sign it). I've had three episodes - first when I missed a couple of doses, second when I was being switched to Wellbutrin and third after tapering down for about three weeks. This was two weeks ago and each time I had the severe nausea and vomiting and spells of uncontrollable crying which I think have passed. I still have the Brain Fog or pressure in my head, pain in my cheekbones and jaw and ears ringing, but I'm not sure if these are all related or not.

Let me know how you made it and are doing now, ok?
