I have gotten much relief from anxiety by using this stuff.
It's magnesium that goes straight to the blood through the
skin. Magnesium is a relaxing, calming mineral.

I have read elsewhere that seawater or in the form
of a spray is good for immunity and especially good for children
with colds who are too young for cough medicine.

Would appreciate any feedback on this. It's about halfway down
the page.

Would like to add some context to the above post;

1-check with a doctor before applying Mg chloride if you are
taking many prescriptions. It comes as a simple oil
or spray. This isn't any MLM. I ordered through Dr Allen
Pressman CCN on the web. You can also order through Magnesium
For Life. My knowledge of any of this is limited
to my own personal experience and the anecdotal
experience of others.

2-there is very little real info on the net.
Very discouraging. How do you know if you need it?
Anxiety, depression are driving you crazy.
How do you know if it works? Anxiety, depression,
leg cramps, immune problems show noticeable relief
(not to mention it can be used as an antiperspirant).
I use small amounts everyday.

3-I don't believe in magical cures for anxiety because I've been
fooled in the past. Magnesium chloride DOES NOT CURE ANYTHING.
It goes through the skin to the blood to where there is a cellular deficit of Mg and that is all it does. It provides balance.
Always be a skeptic.

4-Magnesium deficits develop because stress,
certain drugs (caffeine) and contaminants
like mercury/lead leach it out of cells through the urine.

5-magnesium chloride in transdermal form is superior to Epson salts (magnesium sulfate) for calming/relaxing baths, by a large margin.
It is second only to IV intravenous delivery for bioavailability
which has always been a problem with taking Mg.

6-Mainstream doctors will say that Mg deficiency is rare.
Alternative practitioners will say it is very common.
I believed neither I used it and it worked.

Magnesium serum blood tests nearly always come out within normal
limits because only about 1% of it is in serum. Serum
deficiency is rare while cellular deficiency is common.
There are no RECOGNIZED tests for cellular deficits of Mg.
No test, no detection, no proof, no deficit. Meanwhile
the condition gets worse or is only controlled with medication.

7-magnesium supplements don't even compare. If your
digestion is damaged Mg supplements and powders are
a waste of time and the powders will give you diarrhea.
Diarrhea usually means that your body is saturated.
With Mg diarrhea is an indicator of nothing relating
to deficiency inside the cells. I'm not going to worry
about calcium/Mg ratios for now.

8-it can be applied directly to the skin or used as a bath or
foot soak. If applied directly to sensitive skin it will sting
so I dilute 50/50.

9-This is still hard for me to believe so I will try to
update about effectiveness.

10-The links below are very usefull. The first is a
blog run by a clinical psychologist. The second is by Dr.
Leo Galland MD who is world famous for treating difficult
conditions.

Transdermal magnesium chloride oil works better in a
bath or foot soak in small amounts.
My anxiety was totally relieved by using half
a small bottle in the bath for a half hour.
This is probably too much. I read that
the kidneys have to work harder when too much is used.
I need to go slowly and let it work over time.
I will also experiment with taking oral Mg taurate
or Carlson's Mg glycinate in addition to the soaks.
I will not be taking calcium supplements for the time being.

Dr Carolyn Dean is the best resource I've seen.
Since 2005 she has switched to transdermal Mg oil.
Her book "Miracle of Magnesium" is worth reading
and so is her link. The second link deals with depression.

The thing I have to ask myself is why I keep losing
minerals every damn day and why i need to keep
applying or foot bathing with the oil everyday?
Why is this the only way I can feel close to normal?
I have solved the problem but I haven't really.

The above happens because the minerals I need
to function are urinated out every damn day.
My immune system is still too weak to hold
onto the energy I get so I have to keep doing what I'm doing.

To anyone with a straight linear thought process this
probably sounds like babble and self delusion.
Read the links in my other posts and tell me
they don't at least make sense...or don't read them.

Drinking coffee or other stimulants will nullify or allow
very little effect from this type of Mg. Intravenous injection
is probably your only alternative besides meds if you drink
coffee or even green tea. Mg Chloride will still do you good
but it might take much longer to feel any effect.

Now that I've gotten off coffee and caffeine
I can sit back and call it an "excitotoxin" that
is addictive along with diet cola, Aspartame,
MSG etc. Many ppl think they are turning into
health fanatics b/c they drink diet cola and are
watching those calories. I don't think so.

Concerning Eli Lilly and multiple uses or non-uses of Cymbalta
and a great site;

Not everyone benefits from Mg chloride. Another way of saying that is
if you don't have a deficit of magnesium you don't need it. It's hit or
miss. I will have to find out why this is.

I don't need the Mg foot baths anymore. I might take one once every two weeks
in a regular bath with every part of my body submerged except the nose.

It is also true that in many cases if you are manic,
having trouble sleeping, or just jumpy, taking a bath
in this kind of Mg will relax you over and beyond Epsom
Salts or just about anything else regardless of meds
or caffeine. If you take a break from the caffeine you
will feel it more. Again, not with antibiotics or with
a serious kidney conditions.

As a totally unqualified LOL, non-practitioner of anything I have concluded that
anyone with stress, neuro, or bodily pain problems should order a small bottle
of transdermal Mg, follow the instructions and see if it works before anything else.
This should be your 1st step before going the mainstream route.
If it works, you've just cut your problems by 1/3 to 1/2 or more.
If it doesn't you've just exhausted your first at major home preventative.

I haven't tried EFT but I'm willing to give it a shot. I Don't really expect anything,
kinda simplistic, and dumb, right? We'll see.

Are you still doing this?

I made my own using nigari (tofu coagulant) plus distilled water. I would do a half hour foot soak and put some on my arms, chest, and and legs, both in the morning. This worked amazingly well for the first few days, as the depression/anxiety lifted within 20 minutes and I felt great the rest of the day.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to duplicate the experience, which occurred the first week of November. I had ordered some magnesium chloride and magic oil and tried those, which didn't seem to have the same effect. I then ordered more nigari, though I was sent a different brand, and again the effect wasn't the same.

Not sure what to do now...

Hi mastershay,

Am I still doing Mg Chloride? Yes, it still works as a
bath and foot soak.

I've heard that nigari is a natural additive to tofu and
it sounds like a smart way to get Mg Chloride.

Your experience with nigari footsoaks is similar to my
experiences with beta-glucan. All my symptoms disappeared
for a week then came back. Two months later I tried 2 different
kinds of b-g with the same effects. All schizophrenic/anxiety
symptoms disappeared. I was non-manic, had no anxiety and was very calm. I increased the dosage to extended the effects but after 2
weeks everything went back to the way it was. That didn't
happen with the Transdermal Magnesium.

Why did this happen?
A-Placebo(mind induced)-I doubt it.
B-My immunity was seriously impaired> overstimulated> crashed

Practitioners cannot make sense of it since b-g does not
have a neuro effect. I think it was operating on my immune cells.

Anyway, I can't for the life of me figure out how a person can be manic, or anxious and use Mg without results, but it happens.
Gianna Kali who does the blog "Beyond Meds" tried Mg Chloride
and got nothing from it. I tried it and got instant results.

I assume the magnesium chloride you used was in the form
of condensed natural or purified seawater or IV?

The difference in the effects of Mg might be the difference between
ppl who worry excessively in their heads and ppl who feel a
physical weakness in their bodies that prevents them from
dealing with stress and people. The former might have enough
body fat to retain Mg despite taking meds, coffee, and
overwhelming stress. They are missing something else or
depleting some key nutrient in the act of stressing or
worrying. Just thanking out loud.)

Sorry for the late reply. Still experimenting with the magnesium. I still get decent results from using it, just not as drastic as a month ago. I have noticed that the texture has felt different. The original stuff felt oily, whereas this stuff goes on like water and dries. Trying to figure this out. I ordered the original stuff from a different website, so hopefully they have it and don't send this same stuff.

I got the idea to start trying this due to hair mineral testing that revealed a high calcium to magnesium ratio, and the fact that magnesium seems to go hand in hand with depression. Things will be good a year from now (have been following the program for six months now with pretty big changes), but the need for an immediate band-aid is there right now until that happens.

We'll see how this next one goes.

Hey mastershay, it's good to hear from someone out there.

What type of Mg are you using, nigari or chloride?

Your hair test is interesting. Too much calcium-contracting,
Mg is expansive-calming. I'm finishing up with a CCN.
You mentioned you were on a program, which one?

Anyone taking prescriptions for leg or muscle cramps?
Try Mg Chloride in a footbath. It will work.

Concerning leg cramps;
WHAT DOES ANY OF THIS HAVE TO DO WITH SCHIZOPHRENIA?

My answer is I don't see anybody or treat myself for SCZ.
I go to ppl who know how to relieve individual symptoms:
anxiety, depression, PAD, digestion, sleep, cognition, immunity,
muscle cramps, and hallucinations over a years time.

It is very difficult to treat schizophrenia directly with
or without meds. The CCN I see (who works well with MD's)
treats it indirectly by looking at it as a collection of symptoms some of which are not in the brain. It is all a feedback loop and
you can't, NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU TRY, cut off one part from the rest.

Hey again, sorry for the late reply again. There's been a lot of progress this last month.

I found out that the brand definitely did make the difference. I have it linked below, that is the brand that works, though when I order it off of amazon they send me some other brand. I finally got it again from goldminenaturalfoods.com.

I have taken the nigari to both my doctors for them to look into. One is a homeopathic doctor, the other one is the one doing the hair mineral balancing. You can get a ton of info on their approach at

This stuff has without a doubt improved my situation. The depression is actually gone now, though I'm not out of the woods health-wise just yet. I'm just glad that I was so anal to keep trying different brands!
