I've been taking 60 mg of Cymbalta for at least 3 years, a long time. I wasn't taking Cymbalta for depression, but for peripheral neuropathy or nerve pain in my feet. It helped, but my doctor prescribed another med when symptoms got worse a year ago. Recently, I couldn't get my prescription reauthorized for Cymbalta for almost a 10 days, so I had to stop cold turkey. That was about a week ago. I didn't start feeling symptoms until yesterday, almost 9 days after I stopped Cymbalta. Thank goodness for all the comments on this site. The warning label for side effects and withdrawal symptoms for Cymbalta did not mention half the things listed on this site. The withdrawal symptoms that started pretty severely today are neusea and dizziness, but I've also been very sleep and I have moderately swollen toes and feet. Maybe the swelling is just because of my problem with peripheral neuropathy. Not sure. Thanks for talking about the weight loss issues. I've been trying to lose weight for several months, and have had very limited success.
